Panel factory Q3 flexible OLED market share forecast: TCL Huaxing entered the top three for the first time!
On September 20, according to data from market research firm Stone Partners, global mobile flexible OLED shipments in the third quarter are expected to increase by 13.5% from the same period last year, reaching 115 million pieces.
Samsung Display is still ranked first, and it is expected that the company will ship 55 million flexible OLeds during this period, and the market share is expected to account for 47.8%, continuing to fall below 50%. Shipments are expected to fall 13 percent from the same period last year.
Boe came in second. During this period, BOE is expected to supply 23.1 million mobile flexible OLeds, up 29.1% from the same period last year, and BOE's market share is 20.1%, which is expected to increase by 2.5 percentage points from the same period last year (17.6%).
The third-largest company with flexible OLED shipments is TCL Huaxing, which supplies panels to smartphone companies such as Xiaomi, with a 9.9 percent market share.
It was followed by Tenma (9.7 percent) and Visigna (8.4 percent).
LG Display ranked sixth (4.1 percent). LG Display supplied 4.8 million flexible OLED panels during the period, 30.4 percent less than the same period last year. Stone Partners expects LG Display's market share in the segment to be just 4.1% in the third quarter.
As of the first quarter of this year, LG Display is still the third largest company in the field. However, starting from the second quarter of this year, after Tianma and Huaxing Optoelectronics, it gave way to Vicinuo.
"Chinese smartphone companies plan to gradually increase the purchase of low-cost flexible OLED panels priced at around $20 from Chinese OLED panel companies," Stone Partners said.
From the shipment point of view in the second quarter of this year, China's flexible OLED panel market share: Beijing Oriental accounted for about 25.5%, Tianma share of about 9.4%, TCL Huaxing about 7.8%, Visigna about 7.5%, the four major domestic panel manufacturers combined share reached 50.2%, more than Samsung (41.2%) for the first time.
